A foundation course serves as a comprehensive one-year preparation program that encompasses English language development and academic readiness. Specifically designed to bridge any academic gaps and enhance English language skills, this course equips students with the necessary tools to gain admission to undergraduate or postgraduate degree programs. Alongside these primary objectives, a foundation course offers additional benefits that contribute to students’ overall academic and personal growth.
Successful completion of a foundation course often leads to guaranteed progression to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at partner universities. This seamless transition ensures that students can continue their academic journey without interruption, building upon the knowledge and skills acquired during the foundation course.
The US transfer system enables students to switch from one institution to another during their academic journey. Such transfers have become increasingly common, with over 30% of US students opting to transfer at least once during their college tenure. The process involves starting studies at one university and subsequently transitioning to another before graduation. Upon completing their degree, students receive a diploma solely from the university they transferred to, excluding any prior institutions attended. While the transfer process is not overly complex, it is crucial to collaborate with an advisor or counselor to ensure all necessary information is provided.
